Subaru of America, has again received a perfect score in 2020 for its commitment to LGBTQ workplace equality. Subaru achieved a 100 percent rating on the Corporate Equality Index or CEI. The CEI is the premier benchmarking survey in the United States related to corporate policies and practices associated with LGBTQ workplace equality. The Human Rights Campaign Foundation administers the CEI. In 2020, more than 680 leading businesses received a perfect score for their commitment to LGBTQ workplace equality.

In announcing receipt of the designation, Subaru of America President and CEO Thomas J. Doll noted the company has a long-standing commitment to equality in the workplace and in the community at large in and around Sun Prairie. He noted that inclusion and diversity and inclusion have been and will remain a major objective at Subaru of America.

The CEI raring involves a consideration of criteria in five specific categories. There are policies regarding non-discrimination, employment benefits, demonstrated commitment to LGBTQ diversity and inclusion, public commitment to LGBTQ equality, and responsible corporate citizenship. Subaru of America satisfied all five criteria used by the CEI to earn a 100 percent ranking. As a result, Subaru America has been designated a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality, which our Watertown, WI drivers can't stop talking about!

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation is the educational component of the Human Rights Campaign or HRC. The HRC is the largest civil rights organization in the United States that works to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals in the country.
