Looks like the Subaru Outback stacked up pretty well against competitors. They said right off the bat that power was lacking in the 4-Cylinder engine, but what it lacks in torque, it makes up for everywhere else. The most affordable, the best fuel economy, the best cargo space, excellent visibility, and great ground clearance set the Outback apart from the pack.
For those who like a little more power, there is a V6 engine option.
Compared to the competition, the Subaru Outback really excels off road. Other cars may offer AWD as part of a package, or an option, but the Outback is built around being a capable AWD vehicle. Its extra ground clearance helps it sail over muddy terrain.
