What Is Facelift: Act Local
Facelift: Act Local is a six day long event that is put on by the Yosemite Climbing Association. It is also co-presented by The North Face, and it encourages people to get out and clean up trash as safely as possible. With this event, we encourage people to reclaim their public spaces by cleaning up parks, local green spaces, and even their own backyards from trash and debris. This initiative is eager to push people to do the right thing, and to care for the planet that has given us so much throughout our lives.
The Facelift: Act Local event is also tied to Subaru’s Don’t Feed the Landfills initiative. This initiative is highly focused on reducing landfill waste in and around America’s National Parks. These places of beauty are sacred spaces, and with our combined efforts we can keep them clean and beautiful for years to come.
