As experienced Subaru drivers around Waunakee and Sun Prairie know, Subaru is all about passion. Passion not only in terms of the vehicles they craft but also in making the world a better place. That's all part of the Subaru Love Promise, which encompasses a wide range of social and environmental issues in North America. Education is a big focus of this initiative, which is being dubbed as Subaru Loves Learning.
Subaru Loves Learning
The Subaru Loves Learning initiative consists of a wide range of different local and national programs. These programs cover everything from science to technology for students as well as support for teachers.
National
- American Association for the Advancement of Science
- Google Expeditions
- Teach for America
- Addressing the Lack of Girls in Tech
Local
- Students Rising Above (SRA)
- Cradle of Liberty Council, Boy Scouts of America's Philadelphia Exploring Program
- The POINT
- Kids for The Bay
- Urban Ed
In partnering with the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Subaru Loves Learning initiative has donated over 187,000 science books since 2015 to schools all across the country. Dealerships across the country have joined in this initiative to help get students from Kindergarten through twelfth grade interested in science.
Meanwhile, Google Expeditions has been a tremendous tool for teachers to take their students on virtual reality field trips across the world. This tool expands a teacher's ability to teach their students about places far beyond where a school bus can take them.
Teach for America is an outreach program that aims to recruit and develop teachers from a diverse array of backgrounds to help make an impact in low-income areas across the U.S. This program has helped create educational equity for over 750,000 students.
As always, the team at Don Miller Subaru East in Madison WI encourages all customers around Watertown WI to partake in aiding the educational programs. Feel free to donate anything you can to help out.
